To The Grave Tempe Concert reviews
Counting Crows at Stir Concert Cove AWFUL
After attending this show, I felt compelled to leave a review even though I don't normally do so for concerts. The venue was great, nothing against Stir, hence the four-star rating. The price of admission was not worth it at all, maybe Stir has something to do with who sets the ticket prices. To The Grave were really bad, soooooo bad. While I like a lot of their music, I didn't enjoy a single song, including Omaha. We missed Live, so maybe they would have made a difference (probably not though). Adam Duritz wasn't quite on key with many of the songs. The rhythms and melodies didn't translate well live compared to the albums. It's understandable that a band playing together for a long time may want to switch things up, but the changes made the performance unenjoyable. Duritz seemed distracted, taking up a lot of time with stories before, after, and during songs. The concert felt disjointed, with Duritz rambling frequently. He appeared unfocused, meandering around the stage without seeming to care about the performance. While I do appreciate Counting Crows and their music, I left disappointed by this show. Perhaps some enjoyed it, and my review may come off as harsh, but I'm upset that it cost me $160+. I doubt I'll attend another To The Grave concert unless the ticket is $15 or less.
